The project dealt with issues important for the future and the stability of life on Earth, issues the main participant of which is the human being. Schools from different parts of Europe and of different educational profiles participated in the project. It consisted of five parts, during which by learning and analysing the past and the present, we deliberated on the shape of the Earth in several dozen or hundred years. There are many nations speaking different languages but they should have something in common: the care for the future of our planet. How to speak and what arguments to use in order for everybody to understand? How to act so that not to destroy but to protect natural environment and ourselves? These were the questions we were all trying to find answers to, keeping in mind that it is easy to destroy something but rebuilding it takes much effort and time.
It was also very important to overcome the language barriers and the stereotypes, to recognize participants' own identity and universal values in our lives, to learn about other nations' cultures. Due to the participation in the project the teachers were able to make new relationships, to learn about other systems of education in Europe, and to develop their teaching methods with the support of ICT. Also the students made new contacts, improved their interpersonal and organising skills, and broadened their knowledge and experience. It was a great adventure which everyone will long remember, and, thanks to the photos, films and other memorabilia, relive again and again.
